Katie, a Murfreesboro native, completed her undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics, cum laude, in May 2014. While at MTSU, Katie was a competitive member of the Equestrian Team and a member of the Epsilon Tau Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. After graduating from MTSU, Katie attended Belmont University College of Law, earning her Juris Doctor degree in May 2017.

After graduating from law school and earning admission to the Tennessee Bar in 2017, Katie began working as law clerk for the Honorable J. Mark Rogers of the Circuit Court of Rutherford County. Following her clerkship, Katie worked as an attorney for the City of Murfreesboro’s Legal Department from 2019 to 2024. She left the City of Murfreesboro as an Assistant City Attorney to join E. Evan Cope, PLLC in February 2024.

Katie practices in a variety of areas including civil litigation and transactional matters. When not practicing law, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and riding and showing American Quarter Horses.
